Review

“Dark black-red in colour, with pristine wild-plum scents and a creamy intrigue. The palate is sour, fresh, cascading and bright, with soft-textured support for the pungent, dramatic fruit: refreshing yet satisfying.” Andrew Jefford, FT.com

Vintage: 2014
Country: France
Region: Cahors
Colour: Red
Grape: 100% Malbec
Size: 75cl

With grapes sourced from selected parcels on the limestone plateau of Cornou, Cahors Cuvée ‘Plateau’ Causse des Ons 2014 from the Altos Las Hormigas Project is aged in 100% concrete cuves to provide a great purity of fruit, resulting in a fresh and powerful Malbec. Described by Andrew Jefford as "refreshing, yet satisfying" and recommended by him in the Financial TImes, it is well-structured, with the bold tannins characteristic of the limestone soils of Cahors.
