“Bright crimson. Fine and fresh – more racy and aromatic, and lighter, than the Beaucastel Coudoulet. But fun if you are not looking for concentration.” [2014 vintage] Jancis Robinson, Purple Pages of  jancisrobinson.com

“A step up over the Sans Soufre, yet not yet bottled, the 2013 Côtes du Rhône Bouquet des Garrigues has plenty of dark berry fruit, pepper and wet-rock qualities to go with a medium-bodied, juicy, yet balanced profile. It too is upfront, supple and will drink nicely over the coming 3-5 years.” Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate RobertParker.com

“This 45-hectare property on the border with Châteauneuf-du-Pape started organic viticulture in 1996 and since 2007 has been farmed biodynamically. As you’d expect from the name, this wine is full of garrigue notes plus lots of dark fruit on a fine, silky and refreshing palate.” [2014 vintage] Christelle Guibert, Decanter.com

“It may say Côtes du Rhône on the label, but this unusually elegant cuvee from Châteauneuf-du-Pape-based Clos du Caillou – with its finger-staining red and black berries, its clove and pepper and its meaty depths – knocks spots off many wines from more expensive southern Rhône appellations.” [2014 vintage] David Williams, The Observer Food Montly
